Sherlock Holmes

Directed by: Guy Ritchie
Genre: Adventure | Mystery | Drama
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, among others.

After finally catching serial killer and occult "sorcerer" Lord Blackwood, legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson can close yet another successful case. But when Blackwood mysteriously returns from the grave and resumes his killing spree, Holmes must take up the hunt once again. Contending with his partner's new fiance and the dimwitted head of Scotland Yard, the dauntless detective must unravel the clues that will lead him into a twisted web of murder, deceit, and black magic - and the deadly embrace of temptress Irene Adler.

After all is another Hollywood remake with some sporadic jokes and unbelievable stunts. The cast was good but Rachel McAdams' character could have done more. The relationship between Holmes and Watson is like a brothers one, they fight but they know each other and they're willing to give their life for the other. Overall is a good movie.

Definitely a Must see at 3.5/5 Stars.

WTF WIRED?

I'm a WIRED magazine subscriber, my subscription ends on March 2010, recently I've been receiving letters from WIRED to renew my subscription. At first they were okey, but now, I got this one that read "Last Chance" (Pic). At first I thought that it was a bank thing, I thought that I was losing the house or something, but when I opened the envelope It was something like "Dear WIRED subscriber, I'm glad to inform you that we have a great offer for you if you renew your subscription before Dec 24...".

I mean WTF WIRED, I'm going to subscribe if I feel like doing it, no because your mailing me aggressive letters, actually, I feel less likely to subscribe now. I like your work, I think that you guys make a good magazine, but, WTF with your freaking letters. I always thought of WIRED as a responsible, caring, informative magazine, but now, I think that you're total jerks.

Please stop mailing aggressive letters and care more for convincing me on renewing my subscription instead of making me renew so you'll stop mailing crap every 2 months!

Amateur Surgeon: Christmas Edition

The original was one of the best (and goriest) game I've ever played in the iPhone, so when I heard about this "Christmas Edtion" I knew I had to play it. And so I did. It took me 2 tries to pass the first patient and find the music extremely annoying. And some of the instructions aren't as clearly explained as in the original.

It actually has a good story line, you were flying trough the North Polo and you see a bunch of shadow (raindeers)  and you hit something that makes you crash in some kind of factory (Santa's factory) And then operate an elf who's now decided to help you save Christmas.

Isn't it a good message behind all of this?? Well, yes, but the game is 17+ rated so...Who cares??

I give it a good 3.5/5 (the 0.5 was because it's free)

And here's the link where you can get this game. Amateur Surgeon: Christmas Edition

American Pie Presents: The Book of Love

Okey, another American Pie. Puff, what can we expect from those movies anymore? Well, not much.

This movie takes place in East Great Falls, the place where the first 3 American Pies basically took place, even though they go to the lake in the second one (American Pie 2) and to some hotel in the third one (American Wedding). It also features another Stifler relative, this time their relationship is unknown. It's main characters are 3 High School friends trying to hook up with chicks.

One of them, Rob, accidentally sets up the school library on fire and on his attempts to put it off the fire alarm goes off, causing the emergency sprinklers to go off. After that he gets Saturday detention to clean all the mess up he finds a book. "The Bible" is a book, featured in the first American Pie, that contains the secrets of hooking up with women.

After 90 minutes of cliches and disturbing images the movies gives out it's message. I think that, in part, they want to mend all the minds that they've screwed up in past movies giving the message that "If you're a good guy, you'll get chicks also". It's a good message but after 90 minutes of boobs (yes, there's boobs) and jerks getting girls, the message fades in it's own movie.

It's a clear 2/5 stars.
